Before the year of 2000 a zam zam drinking water basement was present beneath the mutaf area near holy kaba. This is the picture of that basement. Stairs were made separately for men and the women in a corner of mutaf which leads pilgrims to the zam zam drinking basement parlor, where hundreds of basins with zam dispensers were fixed for pilgrims, and at the dead of this parlor a room having glass walls was made, it was actually the room of "ZAM ZAM WELL"
Though the well was completely covered even in those days, and few pumping machines was there. Pilgrims enjoy and feel pleasure to see zam zam well through glass walls.This well is 18 meters to kabba.
